How to Use the GST Calculator
GST is an indirect tax applied in India on supply of goods and services. Follow these instructions:
- Enter the transaction value.
- Select the tax slab (5%, 12%, 18%, or 28%).
- Select **Add GST** if the amount is the base price. Select **Remove GST** if the amount is the final inclusive price.
GST Calculation Formulas
The formulas for GST additions and subtractions are:
Remove GST: Base = Total / (1 + Rate / 100)
Where:
- Base: Net price of the product without tax.
- Total: Gross price inclusive of tax.
- CGST & SGST: Central GST and State GST, which split the tax equally (50% each) for intra-state transactions.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
